How to Jailbreak Apple TV 2

*** Attention! The Apple TV hacks is currently only for the Apple TV 2 and not the new Apple TV that supports 1080p. This lens will be updated once the Apple TV 3 supports the Apple TV hacks ***

Apple TV 2 is great addition to your home theater system. It is a gateway to the iTunes store to watch your favorite movie or TV show. If you have a subscription with Netflix, you can also stream your favorite movie or TV show. If your interested in viral videos, you can watch YouTube videos on your Apple TV 2. You can even stream your Photos or Videos from your Apple Device with Airplay. (With iOS 4.2 firmware for your iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod Touch & iPad)

Why should you jailbreak your Apple TV 2?

If you thought the current options were great, try adding XBMC, Plex, Remote HD, nitoTV, Last.fm, Weather Channel, RSS Feeds and more to the Apple TV 2 menu. Once you install XBMC, there are countless of plugins that would complete your ultimate dream home theater with plugins such as IceFilms, FastPassTV and SportDevil. These plugins will enable your Apple TV 2 with free streaming access to the latest movies, TV shows and pay per view live sports events that isn't offered in the iTunes store, Netflix and Hulu. This would save you thousands of dollars and give you a reason to cancel your cable or satellite subscription and upgrade your internet provider speed to it's maximum bandwidth!
